Holidays...

Well the last couple of days have been wonderful! We spent an awesome Thanksgiving in Texas with Steven's parents and Ginger:) We also were able to hang out with Kenny, Sue and Jake and Matt, Rachel and Ava! I have come to the conclusion that I love friends. I love that our closest friends are in different seasons of life but yet we all have this common bond of living life and walking through ministry together. It looks different with every family. Some of our friends are single, some are married, some have kids, some are in different states, some are down the road but there is an overflow of love for each other that only comes from our Father.
There is also a love that I am continuing to experience with my husband. Our life together becomes more fun everyday. I never ever thought I could feel this strongly for another person. Our personalities are as different as night and day but I think that is what makes it so fun. He continues to surprise me everyday. On the way back from Texas we stopped off in New Orleans to have lunch and walk around. I LOVE going on spontaneous adventures! The last 2 days he has been working non stop on our house. Today I came home and he has built shelves in the garage and in our hallway closet. This was a huge surprise and one that I was ex static about. All night he has been helping me decorate for Christmas. I just love my husband so dearly. He has been a beautiful picture of God's love in the aspect of God wanting to spend quality time with me. I love you babe :)
I have never been a big Christmas person. I am not like Ginger who starts listening to Christmas music before Thanksgiving. I have always made fun of my mom who in my opinion leads a double lifestyle as Mrs. Claus. This year is very different. Why I dont know. Maybe its because I have a house that I can decorate. Last year we had a skinny Charlie Brown tree but this year we have a big one. There are wreaths on all my windows!! Oh my gosh I am still in shock over this! It has been really fun!
I am really looking forward to Christmas. We are staying here and having Christmas with my parents and my brother and then Steven's parents are coming to our house and we will have the whole family all together. I cant wait to cook, shop, and spend great family time together. I love the holidays.
Thank you Lord for sweet friends and wonderful family. Thank you for being committed to your children and giving us an amazing Joy that only comes from you. Thank you for you and your precious gift of your Son that allows us to run and jump in your lap and spend eternity with you.
